OLYMPIA 2014 FIRST PARTICIPATION
“It was my first participation in the Mr. Olympia, my main goal was to put me in the top ten and I’m very happy to have succeeded.
I qualified for the Olympia 2012 and 2013, but both felt it needed more size to be a competitive rival and keep up with that event. I have improved and I know I can stand next to any competitor.
When I got my Pro Card weighed 105 kilos, this season have competed with 117 and with a better condition.
I had to work a lot in my arms because I have very broad shoulders and sometimes obscure. My legs are still in progress, but are much better than a couple of years.
I’ve just seven years in bodybuilding, the upper part of my body has grown faster than the bottom, but he was sure he could do a good job, “Juan Morel.
“From the Tampa Pro show’ve been working on my own; some people think it’s crazy, but it’s the best decision I ever made. I decide everything myself and not have to report to anyone. If I’m wrong is my responsibility. If I look good, I’m proud that I did.
I am very meticulous in preparation and know my body better than anyone. I have worked with coaches who would not listen when I told them how I felt, I was asked to make changes with which I was not comfortable.
In some cases, as in Tampa, the result was disastrous. The event in Brazil was a good example of how things are less stressful when I prepare only. I was happy, smiling, while other kids were apparent dejected, depressed.
I looked in the mirror and made adjustments considered necessary. Many coaches wanted to eliminate my cheat meal on Sundays, because it seemed that my body did not need, but I look much better with it. I’ve learned that I can not do carbs recharge only junk food, but I went through all those mistakes. “
“Perhaps most difficult was the fact that I had a phase of off-season throughout the year. I participated in the Arnold Brazil in April, after New York, Toronto, in May.
I could carry my weight to 124 kilos to start preparing for the Olympia. I made some improvements to be up and introduce myself to my first Mr. Olympia.
Some people think that being my first participation would be difficult to notice me, but I think not, this has been my third season as Pro, Pro’ve done seven events with two wins, I think you know who I am “.
THE HONOR OF COMPETING IN THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF MR. OLYMPIA
“It’s a huge honor to be in the Mr. Olympia. Many pros spend their entire career without being able to get on that stage. Being there means that you have established as one of the best in the world.
Air television coverage is phenomenal, much has been said that bodybuilding back to the TV, and here it is! It was an amazing event, I am very proud to have been part of it. “
